Back to Brazil

Here goes round three, I'm hoping that one of our many adventures can go smooth but it hasn't happened yet.  This time I took my time buying tickets and really tried for the best option with the least amount of flights and layovers and there were defiantly things that went much better this time because of that but not smooth.  So flight one we get on the plane in Portland and they start up the plane and then turn it off and say that we need more fuel because we have to fly low because of bad turbulence.  Then they turn them back on and turn them right back off and the pilot says that the electrician needs to board and figure out what is going on with all the electrical stuff and that this is the first time they have flown this plane.  SO at this point we are about an hour in and now the plane is faulty and there is bad turbulence (shoot me now).  Really now its no big deal but at the time it was a bit stressful.  We finally took off and 41/2 hours later landed in Texas over an hour late and basically ran to our next flight and when we got there it was delayed.  Which really was nice so the kids could move around a bit and we got something to drink.  Now its time for flight two Dallas to Sao Paulo, this flight was very long and its really hard for me to sleep I try and make sure the kids have room so that leaves me with none but I watched several movies and TV shows so it passes the time.  Lainey and Cooper slept until we landed the next day and when Andrew woke up he just watched some shows.  Overall a great flight.  Once we landed we had a lay over so we were in no hurry but made our way through customs and then went to get our luggage only to have one bag taken by someone else who had the same bag.  It took 2 hours waiting in line to report the missing bag that happen to have all my cloths, laptop, and a couple presents for people down here.  The kids were hungry and I was hot and frustrated that my bag was missing.  By that time with the late flight and the line to report the bag we had to go eat and check in right away.  When we were checking in for our last flight to Uberlandia they said because they are not an international airline that I had to pay extra for bags over 50lbs and for more than 1 bag per person.  So frustrating but at that point I just wanted to be done so I paid and we just waited the last little bit and boarded the plane to Robert.  I was so tired on this plane I could barely keep my eyes open and slept a little but not much.  Finally we landed in Uberlandia and got to Robert.

Now that we were in Uberlandia and being that it was Robert's bday we went for a late dinner and I had Vanessa here in Brazil get the cake and invite the whole team and we just celebrated all together.  It was a wonderful night with all our Brazil family and friends and the first time in 8 years that Robert has been with any of his family on his actual bday.  Oh a little side note I think the cake was the best cake I have had and you all know me and cakes.

Anyway we are all here and just getting readjusted to the time difference and our schedule.  School started today for Andrew and he did really well and tomorrow we start swimming up again.  Miss everyone already and I will write more later.
